Jesus is with me

I know He is

Healing me every step of the way

He is with me.

I know He is

Because His word promises me

He is with me

And He will never leave or forsake me.

Because His word promises me

I know I can trust in Him

And He will never leave or forsake me.

He is the one I love.

Because His word promises me

Healing me every step of the way

He is the one I love.

Jesus is with me.

Interesting photographer!

Lauren Grace Photography

Today’s post on the blog is inspired by the heart and beauty of Katelyn Grace. After her mini session a couple of weeks ago, Katelyn shared these words on her instagram accompanied by two photos from her session.

“I hate admitting struggles. I feel like it’s a sign of weakness. (I know I’m wrong). But, it’s kinda crazy to think about how self confidence has taken over my life. I have gotten into a routine of waking up every morning dreading to look at myself in the mirror. I’m the kind of person that hates telling people how I feel. So I go through things all on my own. And our thoughts can be so powerful, it’s kind of scary. The words “I’m ugly” or “I look so bad” runs through my mind almost 24/7. I find myself looking at EVERYONE around me wishing I had their hair, their nose…

How to be positive and let go

When we make moral mistakes, we may feel very guilty about them. Grace means “unmerited favour”. In this case, God’s grace gives us unmerited mercy, so we don’t have to nail ourselves to the cross, or condemn ourselves forever, for that. We can just let go. He forgives us again and again.

This reminds me of the lyrics of a song, entitled “How He Loves” by David Crowder Band.

“If His grace was an ocean, we’re all sinking.”

This concept of grace also applies to our relationships with other Christians as well. Sometimes we may feel that other Christians condemn us for our actions, but we must remember that we are all recipients of God’s grace and mercy.

How to shine like a gem

Do you keep, in your drawer, some precious collectibles, like a photograph, a keychain, a globe, or maybe a magnet? Some of us are like each collectible, as precious as a gem, shining like a gem. Shining because of our positivity, our hope for a better day, believing in what is good and upright.

A way in which God and positivity are linked

What a glowing picture of the son of man.

“12 I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man,[d] dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. 15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.” Revelations 1:12-16 (NIV)

And he descended with all His glory,

Upon the mountains,

In stormy clouds,

Gail, rain and hail.

I thought I saw an angel,

But it was actually God.

God the Father

Had come again.

God the Father, defends me, gives me positivity, security, assurance, a sense of reliability.

The traits of God the Father are

  1. He is the source of life

He contributes to the life of his children.

  1. He lovingly corrects us
  2. He provides for our needs
  3. He gives us His wisdom

His word is the ultimate source of wisdom and truth.

  1. He always welcomes us back

He always comes running to us.

Why a christian is positive

Sometimes I wonder how can a Christian not be positive. Sin is a fact of life, we make moral mistakes. We do need forgiveness from a superior being, namely God. And the solution to that? Simply the attitude of the heart – belief in Jesus, the Son of God.

What the trend towards human positivity suggests

Using a machine-learning algorithm known as random forests, and controlling for potentially complicating factors such as the fame of an artist, Myra Interiano and colleagues from the University of California Irvine in the US looked into the depths of a couple of huge community-generated music databases and searched for trends developing over decades.

The researchers noted that the numbers that hit the tops of the Top 100 singles chart were often “systematically” different from their less successful competitors. They summarised these differences in 12 points:

  1. Successful songs are happier than average songs.
  2. Successful songs have a brighter timbre than average songs.
  3. Successful songs are less sad than average songs.
  4. Successful songs are more party-like than average songs.
  5. Successful songs are less relaxed than average songs.
  6. Successful songs are more danceable than average songs. (https://cosmosmagazine.com/social-sciences/how-to-write-a-hit-song)

 Interesting trend towards human positivity

Hegel, a German philosopher of the early modern period, advocated a kind of historically-minded Absolute Idealism (developed out of the Transcendental Idealismof Immanuel Kant), in which the world and the galaxies beyond would realize its spiritual potential through the development of human society, and in which mind and nature can be seen as two abstractions of one indivisible whole Spirit. How interesting, are we getting prepared for Jesus’ coming? That’s why the trend towards human positivity.

Are we getting more advanced as a society? Certainly. Does spiritual advancement correspond? One can consider that the gospel is being spread to increasingly more and more parts of the world.

Be still my soul

Be still my soul,

and feel the morning smells and sounds arise around you,

as you wake up this morn

be quiet and know

God is with you.

Snowflake part 2

Filed under: Uncategorized — applecherrypipz @ 9:26 am

Snowflake on the horizon

do you not see

as it shudders as it falls

a silent serenade

to  its eventual departure

from

the sky.

What is fate

where does it end up

on the ground

in the ravines,

in the trees, in the forests

where it rests there

as part of a lovely lake

natural upon natural.

My resting place?

As I hover through life like a snowflake,

twisting and tumbling

into the ravines below,

I spy that I lie in the quiet depths of a behemoth lake,

sparkling under the sparkling sun

stretching into forever

beneath the horizon.

Snowflake

Filed under: Uncategorized — applecherrypipz @ 9:34 am

Snowflakes are raining down on you

they melt upon your nose, on your hands, powdery soft.

Do you see your reflection in its crystallised spokes?

pick one and discover your fate

it stares at you for a while in your hand, then melts

where does your fate lead to where does it go

what if destiny asks you to stop

and wraps you up in a snowstorm

will you succumb and give in

or will you fight for freedom
